He Killed Due to his Height and Unfulfilling Goals
Parricide
In 2013, a 29-year-old man, Jou, in Hong Kong lied to his parents that he bought a new house and invited them to visit. As soon as his mother entered the location, Jou’s friend, Shia rushed over and slit her throat.
His father noticed that something was off and turned around to leave, but Jou pushed him inside, pinned him down on the floor, and slit his throat.
Having been harboring this sinister crime, Jou did thorough research on how to dispose of the bodies to cover up the murder. He and Shia started to dismantle both bodies using axes and boil the organs in a soup pot covered with a thick layer of salt.
They put the heads inside a fridge and separated his father’s testicles, fingers, and other body parts into plastic bento boxes, including his mother’s ovary, and intestines.
Jou went back home at ease and said that they traveled to China when his brother asked him the whereabouts of their parents. It baffled his brother that they didn’t tell him such a plan that morning when he went to work.
After several days, without receiving any messages from their parents, Jou’s brother was extremely worried.
Sickening Drama
Jou also pretended to be anxious about his parents’ safety, so he specifically set up a Facebook page called ‘My parents are lost’ and offered the details of their appearance and clothing when they left for China.
The brothers then reported to the police. Jou held the photos while being questioned by the reporters. His distressful face and shivering pleading were all over the media.
Cold-blooded Brag
Before committing such a gruesome unethical murder, Jou once gossiped about his plan to kill his parents while playing the online game, Tekken, and his hatred toward them with friends on WhatsApp.
“I hate my life and want to kill myself,” Jou confessed to his online gamers, “But why should I be the one to die for such a miserable life? It was my parents who gave me a life like this, so they should pay for their sins.”
Motive
At only 5.4 feet tall, Jou blamed the genes passed by his parents, and he insisted that if his father didn’t make him play the piano but basketball, he could be taller and popular with women.
He blamed his parents for sending him to study abroad in Australia, where he was bullied by his roommates and mentally damaged. Jou considered he was naturally born superior to others and claimed to make a tremendous achievement in mathematics and physics, however; his overflow arrogance deterred him from making any effort to pursue the goals.
He quit his job feeling his intelligence and talent were beyond doing the mundane work supposed to be for average people, so he relied on his parents, playing online games and gambling.
Intelligence Test
When the court indicted Jou, he claimed that all the killings were arranged by his friend, Shia, and he was merely the bystander in the slaughter. However, the judge noticed that Shia had difficulty responding to questions and needed more time to digest others’ words.
The court set IQ tests for both Jou and Shia. The average IQ is 100. Jou is 126, but Shia is 84. Apparently, Shia could not be able to be the mastermind. Afterward, Jou pleaded for having a mental health problem, but the psychologist diagnosed he only had bipolar disorder and compulsive disorder, both conditions cannot justify his cruel and inhumane murder of his parents.
Final Verdict
Jou was sent to prison for life. The police said he had no remorse or regret for his crime but only expressed disappointment that his IQ was not higher than he expected.
He also told the police that he originally wanted to ‘finish’ his brother together, but the time he went home and saw his parents’ empty bedroom, he was filled with satisfaction, relishing in the bliss.
Although he blamed his parents for making it harder to find women easily due to his height, he had several sexual relationships with some women in China, one of whom was even pregnant with his kid, but he refused to take responsibility and never saw the mother and daughter again.
Jou was a born actor and good at manipulating people to obtain his purpose. He was narcissistic to a thrilling level that he had no human emotions or consciousness toward people, even his parents.
